Dr. Chris McNeil grew up in Metro Detroit, Michigan, in a medical family — both of his parents worked as registered nurses. From an early age, he knew he wanted a career in the medical profession.
While in high school, Dr. Chris was in a serious auto accident in which he fractured both of his arms, several fingers, and his leg. The recovery required extensive surgeries and physical therapy. That experience is what initially shaped his career direction. He enrolled at Wayne State University with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.
While at Wayne State, a high school friend who was attending Life University introduced him to chiropractic care. Dr. Chris began experiencing chiropractic care personally — and the chronic sinus infections he had previously dealt with on a near-monthly basis became rare. That personal experience is what converted him to the chiropractic profession.
He changed his college major from physical therapy to chiropractic, transferred to Life University in Marietta, Georgia, and graduated as a chiropractor in 2002. He returned home to Michigan and has dedicated more than 20 years to practicing chiropractic care in Macomb County.
